Taking that first step to meet with a dietitian is something to be proud of, and a bit of prep can set you up for a great experience from day one!
Fay appointments are conducted over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform (Zoom). Here's what you'll need:
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a working camera and microphone
A stable internet connection
A quiet, private space where you feel comfortable talking
How to join:
Your appointment link will be included in your appointment confirmation email. Click the link a few minutes before your session starts to join.
Tips for a smooth session:
Optional: Download Zoom on your computer or phone (wherever you plan to do your sessions) prior to your first session. This is not required and you can still just join via a browser, but many clients prefer using the actual Zoom app, and it’s completely free to use!
Test your camera and microphone before your first appointment, especially if you haven't done a video call recently
Make sure Zoom or your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge) have permission to access your camera and microphone
Join your session on time to get the most of your appointment with your dietitian!
