Understanding how much my appointments will cost and payment timing

The cost of your appointment depends on your location, age, and insurance coverage. With insurance, you can pay as little as $0 per session, though some plans may include a co-pay, coinsurance, or deductible.

Getting your personalized estimate

To get your personalized estimate, visit Get your estimate on Fay’s website and enter your insurance information. The tool provides an estimate of your out-of-pocket cost. If the estimator is unable to give you an exact price, it means your plan has variable cost-sharing that depends on factors like where you are in your deductible. In those cases, your final cost will be calculated after your claim is processed.

If you want additional reassurance, please contact your insurance provider directly to confirm nutrition benefits. You can also ask your insurer about copays, deductibles, or visit limits.

If your insurance plan is not currently accepted by Fay, you can still work with a dietitian on Fay using our cash pay, which is $160/hour.

At Fay, we’re passionate about expanding access to nutrition care, so be sure to check back again to see if we become in network with your insurance plan!

Why does Fay require a credit card if sessions may be free?

Even if your sessions are covered at $0, a credit card is required on file to cover any applicable co-pays, coinsurance, or late cancellation fees.

When will I be charged?

You are charged after your insurance claim is processed — not immediately after your appointment.

You will be notified by email when a charge is applied. You can also review your billing history at any time in the Billing section of your Fay account settings: app.faynutrition.com/settings/billing.
