Understanding Explanation of Benefits
If you received a document in the mail from your insurance company after a Fay appointment, it may be an Explanation of Benefits (EOB), not an actual bill.
An EOB is a summary your insurance sends to explain how a claim was processed. It shows what was billed, what your insurance covered, and what (if anything) you may owe. EOBs often look like bills but include the phrase "This is not a bill" somewhere on the document.
Charged more than expected?
At Fay, we stand behind the cost estimate we gave you. With our Fay Guarantee, if you're ever charged more than what we quoted, you can request a refund for the difference directly in your Billing tab in Fay. Fay's billing team will review your claim and follow up with you.

Additionally, if our estimate ever changes based on information we receive from your insurance company after submitting a claim, we will inform you so you can prepare and plan accordingly. We're passionate about expanding access to nutrition care and never want cost to be a barrier.
